CARTIER - a fine Art Deco rose quartz and aventurine quartz desk clock, circa 1920, the rectangular brass swivel case with silvered dial, applied gilt Arabic numerals and Breguet hands, with round high cabochon rose quartz crown, supported either side by polished square section aventurine quartz columns, with rose quartz capitols and rectangular moulded rose quartz base, 8-day movement signed Ulysse Nardin, Locle and Geneve, 15 jewels with 2 adjustments, serial no. 450248, case no. 373093, base 10cm x 4cm, height 7.5cm, working order, in original Cartier tooled red canvas fitted cabinet case

Movement – currently working

Dial - a few small surface marks in centre and light yellow surface stain spots all over

Glass - minor wear around edges

Hands - good

Case - general wear to high points, both pillars have evidence of glue at bases and capitol mounts, right pillar has a small chip on front panel, rose quartz base has a small chip along front edge of underside

Crown – hands adjust smoothly

Notes – case colour slightly faded, hinged doors working, small amount of fraying to internal silk near front catch
